My Nigerian brother-in-law introduced me to beef suya, a very spicy street food that's popular in western Africa. I was intrigued when I found out the spice rub is made from ground peanuts and a blend of different seasonings. The ingredients needed to make Home made suya:
  1. Take 500 g lean meat
  2. Take 3 tablespoons grounded groundnut cake/kuli
  3. Take 1 pinch salt
  4. Take 4 Grounded scotch bonnet
  5. Make ready 1 teaspoon complete spices(include ginger, garlic, black etc)
  6. Prepare Slices 1/2 onion 3 tomatoes 1 capsicum

In Nigeria, it is called suya, in Cameroon, it is called soya, in Ghana, it is called, "chinchinga". Suya spice can be added to almost anything to give that dish a delicious twist. This Homemade Suya Spice is all Shades of delicious. PLEASE Suya Spice is peanut based, therefore it's not suitable for people with peanut allergies.

Steps to make Home made suya:
  1. First wash and cut the meat in wide strips, prepare the spices,salt, seasonings, pepper and kuli in a plate
  2. Add a little water to the kuli and spices to make a paste, now cover the meat with the paste evenly, transfer to a container, cover and keep in the fridge to marinate for some time
  3. Once marinated take it out and cover your baking tray with a foil paper arrange the meat on the foil and grill for 15_20 mins at 180°c
  4. Once done, serve in a plate and garnish with the slices of tomatoes, onion and pepper and enjoy!

This Homemade Suya Spice is all Shades of delicious. PLEASE Suya Spice is peanut based, therefore it's not suitable for people with peanut allergies. In as much as suya spice is the best spice mix on earth in my opinion, SAFETY FIRST people. Suya Suya is generally made by grilling spiced meat over red-hot coal in Nigeria, but you can get the same result if you have a simple griller or oven with a grill compartment. It is actually the most popular Hausa snack.

Cold water fish are excellent for eating if you want to fight depression. Cold water fish such as tuna, trout and wild salmon are high in DHA and omega-3s. These are two substances that promote the quality and function of the gray matter in your brain. It’s true: consuming a tuna fish sandwich can earnestly raise your mood.

It’s not hard to drive away your bad mood when you are eating grains. Barley, quinoa, millet, teff, etc are all excellent for helping you be in a happier state of mind. They can help you feel full for longer too, helping you feel better. It’s not difficult to feel low when you are starving! The reason these grains are so wonderful for your mood is that they are not hard to digest. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps promote a rise in your blood sugar which in turn kicks up your mood to a happier place.

Green tea is excellent for moods. You knew green tea had to be mentioned, right? Green tea is rich in an amino acid known as L-theanine. Studies have found that this specific amino acid can basically induce brain waves. This helps better your mental focus while relaxing the rest of your body. You knew green tea could help you feel better. Now you know it can help improve your mood as well!
